Xiaomi was founded in 2010 by Lei Jun who is the CEO of the Ximi corporate. Its headquarters is in Beijing, China. It started as a company that focused on developing and selling smartphones, but later it expanded into other areas such as smart homes, consumer electronics, Internet services, and the Internet of Things. And SU7 is the first car of Xiaomi.
On December 28, 2023, Xiaomi’s first car’s official picture was officially released. It is reported that the Xiaomi SU7 is positioned as a “C-class high-performance ecological technology car”, providing dual motor versions and single motor versions for customers. And SU7 provides a capacity of 73.6 KWH and 101 KWH battery options. Meanwhile, the SU7 will appear on the market in the first half of 2024.
It is said that the designer of SU7 is Li Tianyuan whose representative work is the BMW iX. Specifically, the body outline of the Xiaomi SU7 is similar to that of the Porsche Taycan, and it adopts a Curved back design.
2. The configuration of this car
The length/width/height is 4997/1963/1440mm, and the wheelbase is 3000mm. It is equipped with a ternary lithium battery from the CATL. The SU7 front shows a low-lying shape, and the lines on both sides of the front cover further highlight the sense of strength. In addition, the interior of the headlamp is designed with four LED lights, which is highly recognizable. The front has a silver Xiaomi logo, and the front bumper area is added with the same color as the body. It is worth noting that the Xiaomi SU7 also offers radar, which will support advanced driver assistance functions to decrease accidents. The interior design of the new car is also quite plain, with a three-panel steering wheel and a red-decorated driving mode switch button to highlight the sporty feel. In addition, it is equipped with a 7.1-inch flip instrument screen, 16.1-inch center control screen, and 56-inch HUD head-up display, while equipped with Snapdragon 8295 chip and Xiaomi Surging OS system, supporting five-screen linkage, application ecology covers mainstream car applications, tablet applications and mobile applications, supporting carplay, airplay and Apple iPad.
It is reported that the millet SU7 single motor version is equipped with a maximum power of 220 kW motor; The dual motor version features a front and rear dual motor system with a maximum power of 220 kW for the front motor and 275 kW for the rear motor.
Previously exposed announcement information shows that the Millet SU7 will provide a capacity of 73.6 KWH and 101 KWH battery optional. Among them, the capacity of 73.6 KWH lithium iron phosphate battery is provided by Ferdi, using 400-volt voltage platform, pure battery life to provide 628 km and 668 km choice; The capacity of 101 KWH ternary lithium battery is provided by CATL, using 800 volts high voltage platform, pure battery life provides 800 km and 750 km options.
